John "Arachait" McLeod was a nephew of Rev Norman McLeod. The use of the name "Arachait" was used to Differentiate him from other John McLeod's, of which there were a few.

This was the Original home of Captain Kenneth Stuart and his wife Margaret nee McGregor. The Home was bought by the Jagger Family in 1908 and became the home of his Great Granddaughter when Florence McKenzie married Ben Jagger.
