Hire of the Whangarei Heads Church

As a Trust Board we encourage and welcome respectful use our historic church where these types of milestone events can be celebrated.

Although the building is used for Christian services on Sundays and Saturday evenings, it is available for hire at other times when the current Christian user groups are not utilising the church.

Information About the Church:

Access

The church may be accessed by either steps or a ramp that lead to the porch door, which is the only access to the building.

Layout

The porch which has been built on to the front of the church contains a small table and area for umbrellas and an attached toilet to the right. The church itself is set out in the traditional manner with pews down either side and an altar at the far end.

Capacity

There are 14 pew which comfortably seat five, or six at a pinch. Total capacity is a maximum of 84 people.

Facilities

Please note that there is only one toilet.

If you would like to view the church before confirming a booking, please indicate on the enquiry form. On receipt of the application an obligation free viewing can be arranged.

Criteria For Use of the Historic Church

Whangarei Heads Church has a long and dignified history within the local community and any use of our church must be respectful both of this history, the current Christian user groups, and the historic building.

Terms and Conditions

Any person or group wishing to hire the building must abide by the terms and conditions as specified in the query form
